The two-key security system eliminates property management involvement in package delivery while maintaining complete security. When the USPS carrier deposits a package, they use their master key to open the compartment, place the package inside, and remove the compartment key. This compartment key is then placed in the recipient's regular mailbox along with a delivery notice.

The recipient uses the compartment key to retrieve their package at their convenience. Once opened, the key becomes captive in the lock and cannot be removed until the USPS carrier services the unit again with their master key. This system ensures packages remain secure while providing 24/7 access without requiring property staff intervention.

This automated system reduces package theft complaints, eliminates weather damage to deliveries, and removes the burden of package management from property staff. The heavy-duty aluminum construction with stainless steel hardware provides vandal resistance, while the official USPS approval ensures compliance with postal regulations.

For non-USPS applications such as colleges or military installations, optional master commercial locks can be installed to allow institutional staff to manage the delivery process while maintaining the same security benefits for residents or personnel.
