For an older visitor, the hard part of a bench is standing back up. With no arms to push against, a rest stop becomes a struggle, and your visitors stop using it.
Instead, this contemporary bench gives every seat arms at both ends, a curved back and a seat height inside the accessible range.
Hospitals and senior living communities choose armed benches because a visitor who can stand up unaided keeps using the grounds.
As your authorized Wabash Valley distributor, Supply-A-City delivers this USA-manufactured bench with free shipping.
79 1/2" Overall With Arms | 9 Recycled Plastic Planks | 17 3/4" Seat Height | Inground or Portable/Surface Mount | 8 Frame Colors | 5-Year Warranty
The seat sits 17 3/4 inches high, inside the 17 to 19 inch range the U.S. Access Board sets for accessible benches.
The arms rise to 24 1/4 inches at both ends, so your visitors can push up from either side of the bench.
Accessible seating also needs a firm, level space at least 30 by 48 inches beside the bench. That part is your site plan.
Wabash does not certify this bench as ADA compliant, so check it against your plan before you count it toward your accessible seating.
The seat curves up into the back across nine recycled plastic planks, so your visitors sit in the bench instead of perching on it.
Those planks never go on your sealing schedule. Dirt and pollen hose off, and there is no stain or paint to renew.
The frame is powder-coated steel. Treat a chip like a scratch on a car and touch it up before rust finds it.
Wabash backs your bench with a 5-year warranty.
