Under the 2010 ADA Standards, at least 5 percent of the seating spaces at your dining surfaces must be accessible.
The ADA version keeps one full-length bench and splits the other into two seats with a 37 inch gap, wider than the ADA's 30 inch clear floor space.
The top sits 29 1/2 inches high, inside the ADA's 28 to 34 inch range, with 27 3/8 inches under it, above the 27 inch knee minimum.
The gap is sized for a wheelchair to pull straight in. These figures are measured before coating, so expect a fraction of an inch less once finished.
