Wabash Valley Outdoor Swing Bench
Hang a porch swing in a public garden and you inherit every way it fails. The stand tips, the chain wears, the wood splits, and the claim lands on you.
Instead, this commercial swing hangs a plastisol-coated steel bench from two posts set 24 inches into concrete. There is no stand to tip and nothing to carry off.
Facility directors choose anchored swings because the risk sits in a concrete footing, not in a frame someone can drag. Wabash warrants the coatings for 5 years.
As your authorized Wabash Valley distributor, Supply-A-City delivers this USA-manufactured swing with free shipping.
6' Seat | 77" Posts | 24" Concrete Footings | Diamond, Perforated or Ribbed | Up to 9 Colors | 5-Year Warranty
This is a full bench with a back and scrolled arms, hung on chains. Your visitors sit in it the way they sit on any park bench, not perched on a strap seat.
The arms give an older visitor something to hold while the seat moves and something to push against when standing up.
Wabash calls the inground posts a tamper-resistant mount. A frame set in concrete does not tip when teenagers test it, drift across a plaza or leave in a pickup.
A swing needs open ground in front and behind, the same rule the CPSC sets for playground swings. Keep the arc out of your walkways.
A moving seat should not be your accessible bench. Plan a fixed accessible bench nearby for the visitors who cannot use a swing.
Our guide to what makes a swing bench commercial grade covers placement and clearance in more depth.
A wood porch swing needs sealing every year, and every skipped season brings an unbudgeted replacement closer.
On steel, the coating is the corrosion barrier. Paint chips, and once bare metal is exposed, rust spreads underneath it.
Plastisol fuses a plastic coat over the steel seat, so there is nothing to sand, seal or repaint. A hose-down is the whole routine.
In full sun, pick Sand or Gray over Black. A lighter seat runs cooler, which matters on a patio swing bench that bakes all afternoon.
The one job left on your list is a yearly look at the chains and hangers. Log it, and you have the paper trail your risk manager wants.

It ships unassembled on a skid. Your crew digs two footings, sets the posts in concrete and hangs the seat. The drawing is under the Resources tab.
That drawing also shows a 4' size and an arched frame. Wabash sells this model only as the 6' straight-post swing shown here.
The frame is powder coated. Wabash's own sources disagree on steel versus aluminum, so we confirm the metal for your submittal before you order.
Diamond is the lightest pattern and the lowest price. Perforated and Ribbed weigh 33 lbs more, and Ribbed adds a band of oval cutouts across the seat.
Diamond and Ribbed come in Blue, Black, Green, Red, Yellow, Purple, Brown, Sand and Gray. Perforated offers the same colors without Gray.
Wabash ships by color, from about 2 business days on quick-ship shades to 24 on built-to-order ones. Order against your opening date, not the delivery window.
Shipping is free to the lower 48. The liftgate and limited-access fees other dealers add to a skid this size never reach your invoice.
